Years of creating spaces that actually feel like home - here's what we've been up to. Each project tells its own story, from quiet residential retreats to heritage buildings that've seen more than their fair share of history.

This one's special to us - a family wanted something that'd blend into the mountainside without pretending it wasn't there. We used local timber, massive south-facing windows, and a green roof that's now home to native grasses. The clients say they feel like they're camping year-round, which is exactly what we were going for.

Convincing a tech startup they needed more wood and less glass wasn't easy, but they trusted us. The result? An office that actually reduces stress instead of adding to it. Cross-laminated timber structure, natural ventilation that works 8 months of the year, and spaces that shift from collaborative to quiet without needing walls everywhere.
The building's energy consumption came in 40% below code requirements - not because we threw money at fancy systems, but because we paid attention to orientation, thermal mass, and how air actually moves through spaces.

Designed to weather Pacific storms while staying light and open. Reclaimed cedar siding, storm-rated glazing, and a floor plan that follows the sun across the day.
Learn MoreTurning a 1912 church into four modern homes without losing what made it special. Kept the original timber trusses exposed, preserved the stained glass, added light where it was needed.
Learn MoreThis project took three years and way more patience than we thought we had. A 1920s building that'd been through additions, removals, and some truly questionable repair work. We stripped it back, stabilized what was worth saving, and rebuilt what wasn't - all while keeping the character that made it matter in the first place.
Worked closely with heritage consultants, the city, and community groups who knew this building's stories better than any document could tell us. Now it's mixed-use - retail below, affordable housing above, and it'll be standing another hundred years.

Off-grid living that doesn't feel like roughing it. Solar, rainwater collection, and a design that works with island weather instead of fighting it.
View Full ProjectIt's nice when people notice the work, though honestly we're more interested in how our clients feel five years in.
